Code of Conduct
The Cubs wrote their own behaviour policy in 2009 and came up with the following rules that they wanted to see in place during all Section activities. They also looked at, and decided, what rewards they should get for keeping the rules and the punishments for breaking the rules.
All the Rules apply to both indoor and outdoor activities;
DO;
- Obey Leaders
- Follow the Promise / Law
- Listen
- Be polite
- Put hand up for attention
- Have Full uniform on ready for flag breaks
- Work as a team
- Follow rules / do as you are told
- Take part
- Be prepared
- Help others
- Share
- Tell Leaders of problems
- Think of others
- Sixers and Seconders help younger Cubs
- Sit still / sit nicely
- Be honest
- Say sorry if you hurt somebody
- Help tidy away
- HAVE FUN
Star chart
The best behaved pack will receive a star at the end of each week.
The pack with the most stars at end of term will earn a prize.
Cubs who do not appear on the white board will be considered for Sixer or Seconder roles next term
Leaders can give extra stars to Cubs/Packs in special situations
DON'T;
- Mess around
- No fighting or retaliating
- Swear
- No throwing (unless in a game)
- Name calling
- Sound like a baby
- Shouting / don't shout out for attention
- Running (unless in a game)
- Climbing on equipment / swinging on the ropes
- Wind people up / taunt / tease
- No hitting, kicking, biting, spitting
- No play fighting
- Rolling around on the floor
- Blame other people
- Threaten anyone
- Leave people out
- Mess around during flag break
- Be rude or make disgusting noises
- No burping
Behaviour rules;
If you are told off for doing any of the above, you are to write your name on the white board.
At the end of the night, if your name appears on the white board 3 times, you are to complete a behaviour report.
Behaviour report to be handed into Baloo as Assistant Group Leader
If Baloo receives 3 behaviour reports, parents will be called in and the Cub may be suspended from next weeks meeting.
