Group
Our Scout Group was originally formed in 1996 as a 'spider' group of the 23rd Didcot Scout Group with just a Beaver Scout colony. Very soon some of those Beavers became of Cub age and so a Cub pack was introduced.
In 2001 all was going well and we continued to grow from strength to strength, we registered as a new independant group and by 2002 we had our own Scout Troop.
We currently have nearly 90 young people, both boys and girls enjoying weekly activities run by adult leaders.
As a group we hold and attend events that all the sections can participate in. These have included Sports evenings, BBQ's, St George's Day Parade, Remembrance Parade, and County Zodiac Camp. We have also had spiders and gecos in a creepy crawly evening.
We also hold a family camp each year where all the family are invited to join us in a weekend away, doing activities such as archary and rafting.
Leaders, parents and executive members help out with the tidying up while the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and siblings are off having fun...
Our committee also provides quiz nights and social evenings to promote a community spirit within the group.
