Wood badge awarded to Bagheera - 25-04-2010
As part of the St Georges Day parade Bagheera was awarded her wood badge for completing her training as a leader. Since becoming a leader in September 2008 Bagheera has been working towards completing the 18 modules required which she completed earlier this year.
The adult training scheme within the Scout Association ensures that adults have the skills necessary for appointment with each module covering a particular skill. Many of the skills can be acquired outside of Scouting through jobs and hobbies that adults are already involved in, whilst others have to be worked towards.
The modules include valuing diversity, skills of leadership, first aid, nights away, providing a balanced programme and challenging behaviour.
